2010 and 2011 Label Mockups

Hello again,

it’s been too long since I’ve written an entry. I’ve been busy with finishing editing the manuscript of my book more than anything else. But, there has still been a lot of work to do on getting the 2010s out to everyone. We’ve already showed the 2010 Le Chambertin label earlier in the year. We then switched out the red bits of the flowers and such in favor of gold metallic. The final labels should be…interesting, if nothing more. As with the other labels, each of our labels is hand-drawn by Inslee Haynes.

Each of the bits that are gold-ish colored will be gold metallic on the label.

We hope that you enjoy the simplicity of our labels.

  1. Ray, the new label looks great! The “dirty” almost handwritten typeface looks very traditional like your production methods. If we didn’t know better we would think you and your family had been there for hundreds of years.

I pre-ordered the book, can’t wait to read it!

  2. Ray, congratulations. If there is a criticism I would comment that the font below the 2010 is a little too difficult to read, too flowery. But then that’s just me.

  3. Hi Ray,

I love the Chambertin label! The other ones are really beautifut too (though I would have liked to see them all with the grape-vine edge that Chambertin has).

    Freek S.

  4. Thanks, Freek! How is everything on your side?

Believe me, I was very tempted to have that design on all of them but I decided to be selfish with it for the good of the identity of Le Chambertin. It really does deserve a label like this. Nothing else can share it.
